Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Barbara (Barb) Joy Wynne passed away at Bluewater Health Centre on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  Born April 30, 1932, in Detroit, to Lilian and James Ivey, Barb was eagerly anticipating the celebration of her 80th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Gordon (Chic) Wynne, Barb is survived by her children, Jim (Catherine), Sandy (Paul Behncke), Bruce Wynne, and grandchildren, Jennifer and Fraser Wynne, Vanessa and Sean Behncke. She will be sorely missed by her beloved and devoted canine companion ‘Gracie’. Barb loved to lawn bowl, play mahjong and tennis with her friends, and watch the Lake Huron sunsets from the Sarnia Riding Club. Her love of theatre and restaurant dining was often satisfied in her travels with Bruce. Once Barb overcame her fear of flying, her travel horizons took a more international turn. A special thank you to all the caregivers who helped Barb meet her several challenges, and made her final years of independence possible. Most especially her nurse, Rose, who always found unique ways to address her problems. Thanks also go to Dr. Kolano and the very capable staff on the surgical floor of Bluewater Health Centre for their amazing understanding, patience and care in Barb’s last few days.
