Born December 21,  1923 in Lincolnshire, England. Passed away quielty at Eatonville Lifecare Centre on January 4, 2012. During WWII, Joyce worked in a munitions factory. Afterward, she worked at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham, England. Later, she worked at the Nottingham Fire Service where she met her husband Derrick. Joyce immigrated to Canada in  1952. In later life, she enjoyed working at the United Cigar Store at Cloverdale Mall and often quipped, “It’s not good business to keep killing our customers.” Joyce is survived by her husband Derrick, her children Sally, Kathy, Andrew and Michael, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 3962 Bloor St. West, Etobicoke, on January 14th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society.
