WOJTECKI, Stanley, of St. Catharines, ON, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in his 98th year.  Beloved husband of the late Krystyna (nee Siwek) Wojtecki (2008).  Dearly loved father of Barbara Smith (Richard) of Dacula, GA, Edward Wojtecki (Pam Maw) of St. Catharines, ON and Irene Williams (Mark) of Smithers, BC.  Devoted grandfather of Ryan Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Meagan Glover (Eddie) of Franklin, TN, Haley Williams, and Michael Williams, both of Smithers, BC.  Proud great grandfather of Camden Glover of Franklin, TN.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was the last surviving member of his own immediate family, having been predeceased by four brothers and a sister. Born in Pogorzalki, Poland, June 15, 1919, he was the son of the late Antoni and Apolonia (nee Dombrowska) Wojtecki.  He was a retired employee of GM Diesel, London and also worked as a carpenter.  Stanley was a member of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, and Polish National Union Branch #15, St. Thomas.  During the Second World War, he served with the RAF.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A public memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Saturday, May 6th at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
