He continued to be an activist & political watchdog as a long standing member of the Council of Canadians. He became a printer, photographer, journalist & sported printers ink in his finger as his trophy of the trade. He was a founding Co-editor of The Tecumseh Tribune. He worked as a Purchasing Agent for Auto Specialties & the City of Windsor retiring as the Administrator of Huron Lodge.

Dad served on many boards, committees & as a Tecumseh Town Councillor, building the first Tecumseh Public Library, St. Anne High Schools,a new Town Hall and Centennial Pool. He was a builder & fixer of so many things none of which made him more satisfied than the home he built for his wife & 9 children on Dillon Dr. A small two bedroom home, purchased through the VLA, expanded with the help of friends as his family grew, first accommodating 3 bedrooms, then a second story with 4, a garage and pool. A regular occurrence was a swim/fire and sing song. It is a house well lived in.

Dad spent his retirement traveling with Mum, exploring Canada, USA, Caribbean, The Holy Land Europe, capturing the experience with his camera and telling the stories through the many albums he created.

Dad has gone to the Father but has left a rich legacy of his life in his many scrapbooks…the life he shared with his family, friends and the community he loved.
