It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Paul Hawkes wish to announce his death on October 5th, 2013 at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, after a courageous struggle with illness, with his wife Connie at his side.  Paul was born in Minto, New Brunswick on September 6th, 1937.  He is sadly and forever missed by his loving wife Connie, his two devoted daughters Toby (John) Terlep of Salem, Wisconsin and Tracey (John) Tobin and his four grandchildren Jonathan, Grace, Harry, and Jayne all of Abbottsford, British Columbia, two sisters Myrna Campbell of Minto, N.B., and Leslie Phillips of Campbellton, N.B.  Predeceased by sister Sharon Thompson and mother and father Cora and Willard Hawkes of Minto, New Brunswick.  Paul was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick where he received his Bachelor of Science , Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees.  He taught high school for 8 years and also served as a principal for a time in Riverview, N.B. before moving to Ontario where he taught science at Belle River High School for another 26 years.  Paul loved the outdoors and always said you weren’t fishing unless you were fishing salmon or trout in his favourite fishing streams in New Brunswick.  He was also an avid bird watcher for many years.  Paul loved traveling and did so with Connie for many years to both Wisconsin and British Columbia where he enjoyed wonderful times with his girls and their families.  He was the best husband, dad and gramps that anyone could ever wish for.  Paul was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Windsor, Ontario where he served his Lord and Saviour for many years. Resting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 519-253-7234     11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. at Banwell Rd. with visitation from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013. Dear father of the late David Milo Coulter (1996), Linda Drummond (Wayne), Kathy Peschisolido (Vince), Bonnie Ciliska (Jim), Janet Hancharyk (Larry). Loving grandfather of twelve  and great grandfather of eight. Dear brother of the late Arleigh Coulter (2006) (Dorothy), Gerald Coulter (Sue), the late Clinton Coulter (1993) and the late Jan, Iva Groggins (Jack). Our family has lost a special Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Friend on Saturday, October 5, 2013, when ALVIN (Gus) HENRY PARK, age 85 of Sarnia passed away at Bluewater Health Sarnia. Dear husband of Catherine Park (nee Hurley) of 64 years. Much loved father of Dianne (Sid) Orfus, Lynn (Rick) Mac Millan, Paul (Christine) Park, John (Leslie) Park, Robert Park and Patrick (Michele) Park. Cherished Grandfather of Justin (Tina), Melanie, Sarah, Erin (Christian), Marissa (Mike), Christopher, Lindsay (Nick), Lauren, Jonathan, Braden, Hannah and Andrew and Great Granddaughters Madelyn and Carson and also countless nieces and nephews. Also survived by his in-laws Rev. Jack Hurley, Mary Jane O’ Reilly, Terry Hobin, Margaret and Ken Greenaway, Nora and Al Mc Donell and Sheila (Don) Hambleton with whom he enjoyed many family celebrations. Predeceased by his parents Ruth and Wilfred Park and his mother and father in-law Dorothy and Tom Hurley, brothers Donald (Jean) and Robert and brother in – law Fred (Mary) Hurley, Michael O’Reilly and sister in – law Dorothy Hobin. Alvin was a dedicated and loyal employee at Imperial Oil for 42 years. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed gardening, weather recording, coin collecting, World War history, and cheering for his Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 4th floor at Bluewater Health for their compassionate care. Alvin will miss his special friends and staff at Fairwinds Lodge. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jack Hurley at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church (1011 Oak Street) on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:00 p.m. with Father Jack Hurley. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Sarnia – Lambton Sports Hall of Fame Building Fund.

Passed away peacefully at home on

September 28, 2013, at the age of 91, with

loving family by his side. Loving husband

and best friend of 31 years to Dru. Dearest

stepfather to Michael Berlasty (Tiziana)

and Christine Banner (Ed Coleman).

Cherished grandfather of Jacob, Adrian,

Sarah and Justin. Predeceased by parents Robert

and Mae (Harris) Travis. Dear brother to Arlyle (Harold)

Ellis, Robert (Elta) Travis, and brother-in-law to Don

and Anna Hancock and Danny and Chrissy Hancock.

Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Will be sadly missed by many friends and family

as well as his faithful companion “Buddy”.

Jim served his country proudly during WWII.

Following 29 years of service at Canada

Post, Jim spent several years involved in the

horse racing industry where he developed

many lifelong friendships. He was a talented

musician and enjoyed many years performing

with his band the “James Travis Trio” as well

as with many other local musicians. Jim will be

remembered as a good man for a life well lived.

He will forever be in the hearts of all who were

blessed to have known him. A special thank

you to Amy McLean, Janet McCormick, and Jay

(of MLW) for their exceptional care and support, as well

as CCAC and the St. Elizabeth personal

support workers for their compassionate care.

A private family service was held.

98 years, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital. Reunited with her beloved husband and “Honey” of 74 years, Lloyd (2011). Loving mother of Gail Bagatto and husband Frank and son Claude. Loving grandmother of Brian Bagatto and wife Jodi, Marlene Bagatto, Andrea and Amanda Chirkoski and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Bernie, Ida, Elsie and Eunice and brothers Alfred, Jack, Joseph, Archie and Russell. Pat was born in Cochrane Ontario and spent most of her younger years in North Bay, finally settling in Windsor in the mid 1930’s. Patricia had many hobbies, especially baking, doing Christmas crafts, shopping and keeping in touch with her friends. She will be remembered for her generosity and outgoing personality.
