Growing up Carlos was a talented soccer player in his hometown of Povoção, Azores, Portugal for team Mira Mar Sports Club. He will be missed by his family and friends here in Canada and in Portugal, Bermuda and Brazil. Now she is at peace in the arms of the Lord.
Beloved wife of Jacob for 66 years, mother of Alfred and Elizabeth and dearest Oma of Jona, Leni, Andrea and Tyler. She is survived by her aunt Eva Lebherz and predeceased by her dear mother Elizabeth Altenhof.
She found tremendous purpose and meaning, owning J.I.L Deli Place at the Windsor Market from the mid-70s to the 2000s. She often recalled sweet memories of those years, the time spent working alongside her “ladies” and all of the wonderful customers she had the opportunity to meet and serve.
She spent fond years at the Florida home, loading up her white van and traveling south. Her deep, central faith in the Lord sustained her until her own journey ended.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff on 2N and 3N at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre on the Tayfour Campus. See you later, alligator.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at her side on August 17, 2016 at the age of 62. Loving mother and friend to Andy Leroux and his wife Laura. Daughter to the late John and Jean Cheswick. Much loved sister to Jack and Jean Cheswick and Gord and Beth Cheswick. Devoted and proud “Gaga” to her grandchildren Aidan and Isabella Leroux. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Lynn spent 34 years caring for the community as a registered nurse at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus in CCU and ICU. Lynn was a dedicated and compassionate nurse that continuously touched the lives of many people, including her peers and the people under her care. She will be remembered by her generous nature and wonderful sense of humour.  Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in ICU at Windsor Regional Hospital Met. Campus and the Palliative care team at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare for their amazing care, kindness and respect. Passed away peacefully on August 16, 2016 at 84 years of age. Reunited with her loving husband Tim. Cherished mother of Tim (Nancy), Toni (Tracy), Pete (Becky) and AnFletcher NEWdy (JoAnne). Loving grandmother of Amy (Craig), Scott (Stephanie) and predeceased by her first grandchild Matt (2015). Caring G.G. of Elizabeth and Emilie. Special companion of Mike Chichkan. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Reta will be remembered for the way she embraced and celebrated life and brought smiles to all who met her. Cremation has taken place. Beloved husband and best friend to Mira (nee Kokic), with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage. Loving father to Delko and wife Judy, Yasna and late husband Sam Cuffaro (2015). Proud “Deda” to Michael, Christopher, Mia, Patrick and Matthew. Dear brother of Petar (Ina) of Croatia. Son of the late Mijat & Vera, Son in-law of the late Simun & Celenka Kokic. Vladimir was full of life, love, and respect. Always known for his sense of humour, being a true gentleman and a kind friend. He enjoyed many years of retirement after a dedicated career as a designer in the Tool & Mold industry in Canada and U.S.A. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jeanne Bistany (nee Hamilton) passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Jeanne was a member of the RAF (LACW), Past President of the K of C Ladies Auxiliary Council 4386. Predeceased by husband Phil (1986) & parents Sid (OBE) and Winnifred Hamilton of England. Loving and precious mother to Ian Sr. (2008), Beverly Bistany-St. Pierre (Leo), Shirley Benoit, Phil Jr., and Anne St. Denis (Tom). Treasured and loved by her grandchildren Keith (Charise), Ian Jr. (Jennifer), Erica, Matthew (Stacey), Jenna-Lee Scott (Graham), Katie & Brittany. Great grandchildren Ian Justin & Makenna. Beloved Sister-in-law of Gerald Bistany (late Maryann), Florence Bistany (late Fred) and late Joan & Gord Pegler. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Born on April 16Pecarski, 1926 in Kikinda, Serbia and passed away peacefully on Friday August 19, 2016 with her loving family by her side in her 91st year. Predeceased by her parents George and Dragoslava Ursulov. Cherished Mother of Milan Pecarski and wife Cathy. Adored Baba of Sanya and Alexander “Alex” Pecarski. Vuka was the proud owner of Pecarski’s Confectionary at the corner of Langlois and Giles Blvd. for 28 years and will be fondly remembered as “Store Lady”. Family was her greatest joy. She enjoyed nothing more than being a part of her grandchildren’s milestones and celebrating all of their accomplishments. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family will be treasured forever. Charlie knew that JesTothus loved him and was called into his loving arms on August 18th, 2016. Son of the late Charles and Julia Toth. Beloved brother of Steve (Debbie) Toth and Uncle to Charles and Albert. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Charlie smiled with his eyes and will be sadly missed by his house mates; forever friends. Thank you to everyone at Essex Community Living for supporting and inspiring Charlie in his new way of life. In his final days, the excellent care received by the Doctors and Staff at Windsor Regional Met Campus and The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County will be always remembered.
