Kennedy picKennedy – Larry Stephen Dec 28, 1953 – Feb 16, 2013, 59 years old, on Feb 16th. Passed peacefully in St. Thomas Elgin Hospital after a brief illness. Loved son of Dorothy Kennedy and the late Edward Kennedy. Cherished brother of Tina Chichkan, Lisa Vulakovich, and brother in law Joe Vulakovich. Larry was a proud uncle of Michael, Tia and Cody Chichkan, and Tara Vulakovich. Larry worked briefly at National Auto Rad until he was robbed of his life by schizophrenia. He leaves behind many cousins in Windsor and Detroit. During the last 6 months Larry was blessed to have met 2 wonderful friends. Thank you to Jim Desilippe and neighbour Greg for being so kind to him! Larry’s interests included science fiction, and he was also an avid music lover and joke teller. He mastered texting on his iPhone and even downloaded his own David Bowie and Elton John videos. Arrangements entrusted to Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A resident of Blytheswood, Morris Cowan passed away at the Leamington District Memorial Hospital after a brief illness on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born in Windsor and was the son of the late Denby and Susie Cowan. Beloved husband to Margaret Cowan (nee Tiessen). Brother-in-law to Martha and the late Jake Froese, Isaac and Margaret Tiessen, Ernie and Mary Tiessen, Caren and the late John Tiessen. Predeceased by his sister Evelyn M. Cowan (2011); brother’s and sister’s in-law: Elizabeth and John Derksen, Henry and Louise Tiessen. Morris is survived by and will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends; especially the Boschman families. Morris and Margaret were founding members of Faith Mennonite Church. Morris was the owner and operator of Cowan Paint Shop. He had a passion for cars and also sold and repaired CB radios. BUCK, Margaret Ann “Peggy”

web_Buck, MargaretDied peacefully on February 8, 2013 at the age of 82. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Margaret (Doyle) Buck. Loving sister to William (Bill) E. Buck of Barrington Manor (Barrie). Cherished aunt to Richard, Penny, Heather and Patti. She will be sadly missed by many great nieces and nephews. Peggy dedicated her life to the arts and education. She graduated from Queens University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1971and completed her MA at The University of Michigan-Dearborn campus. Peggy was an elementary school teacher in the Essex/Kent school board and later a dedicated professor at the University of Windsor in the Faculty of Education. She was a devout member of Riverside United Church where she led a weekly prayer group and used her musical talents by singing in the choir. Peggy also taught Sunday school and was devoted to helping others in need at the Downtown Mission in Windsor where she was often found leading that group in song and prayer. Peggy was honoured to serve as Chair of the United Church Essex Presbytery. Her love of the Arts drew her to sing in The Italian Mens Chorus and Windsor Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Peggy expressed her creativity through her study of the Arts and literature.  For her dedication as a volunteer in the community she received the Windsor Star “Hearts that light the way” award in 1996.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited after 1 p.m. until time of celebration of Peggy’s life on March 2 at 2:00pm at Riverside United Church. If you wish, donations can be made to the Riverside United Church or the Windsor/ Essex County Humane Society. GAGNIER, Norman,oval67 years, of RR 1, Merlin, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Beloved husband of Claire (Moison).  Loving father of Susan (Greg Bartlett), Deanna (Leo) Borovic, David Gagnier, Mandy (James) Davison, and Leonard (Sunny) Firman.  Cherished pépé of Joshua, Ethan, Leo, Quinn, Collin, Curtis, Jayden, and great grandchildren Kaylie and Rhysse.  Predeceased by parents Armand and Bernadette (Marchand) Gagnier.  Dearest brother of Jeanne (Leonard) Renaud.  Dear uncle of Diane (Keith) Koopman, Debbie Renaud, and many other nieces and nephews.  Mr. Gagnier was an instructor at Tilbury District High School and retired in 1999 after 31 years of service.  Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday.  Funeral service at the funeral home Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.  Online condolences may be shared at www.reaumefh.com

Beloved wife of the late John Kennedy (2009). Loving mother of John Kennedy and the late Reneé (2002), survived by her husband Kevin Darocy. Dear grandmother of Paul and Erica. Dearest great-grandmother of Alexis Reneé. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Rose Langlois, siblings Lawrence, Laura, Clarence, Florence, Percy, Maurice, Donald and Theresa. Will be sadly missed by her sisters Pearl (Babe) Walsh and Delores Cowper, sisters-in-law Helen Langlois and Myrna Morris. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rose was a proud member of the RCL Branch #594 for over twenty years. Special thanks to Dr. David Paterson and his staff for their compassion and care. After a brief illness on February 14, 2013 at 87 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Amedee (1987). Cherished mother of Jeannine and husband Peter Heynsbroek, Marie Saunders, Elaine Couvillon, Raymond and wife Carrie Couvillon, Ruth Boudreau, Gerald Couvillon, Daniel Couvillon.
