It is with sadden hearts, that we announce the passing of Gabriella Di Giovanni, passed at the young of age 62, peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday December 27, 2015.  Born in Lettomanopello, Italy on March 31, 1953. Loving wife to Antonio (Bart) Di Giovanni, and dedicated and precious mother to Daughter Annalisa, Sons, Donato and wife Jodi, Massimo, Maurizio and wife Julinda. An amazing  Nonna    who greatly loved  her grandchildren, Anthony, Alessia, Natalia, Carla, Adriano, Alessandro,  Isabella, Nicolas, Gabriel, (in heaven Bruno).  Predeceased by parents Pantaleone and Marianna Mancini.  Survived by in laws Donato and Anina Di Giovanni.  Brothers  and Sisters Mario and Anna Mancini, Pasqualina & Tonino (Italy), Concetta & Gianni Mussio, Luciano Mancini, Claudio & Anna Mancini.  Brother and Sisters in law Antoinette & Pasquale, Maria (deceased) & Domenico, Rocco & Anna Maria, Rita & Carmine, Gabriele, Patrizia & Bartolomeo, from Europe. Loved dearly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Gabriella will be sadly missed, she was an extraordinary woman, selfless and loved by so many. Her family was her world and all she ever wanted was peace and love for all.  Her favorite quote was “Live- Laugh-Love”.  May she rest in peace and watch over us as the angel she is.   In Lieu of Flowers, donations to the Ovarian Cancer, Brain Tumor & Windsor Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held Tuesday December 29 from 6-9p.m. and Wednesday December 30 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9p.m. Parish and C.W.L prayers at 8p.m. Funeral service on Thursday from Families First 585 Sandwich Street South Amherstburg, (519-969-5841), at 10 a.m. then proceeding to St. Clements Church 9567 Walker Road, McGregor for 11:00 a.m. Mass. Peacefully with his loving family by his side on December 28, 2015 at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of Anita Valleau and his first wife the late Agatha (nee Hunt) Bastien (1999). Cherished father of Paul (Anne) Bastien, Rodney (Deb) Bastien, Mark Bastien, Sue (Roger) French and Laurie (Tom) Diemand. Adored Grandpa to 13 loving grandchildren and dear great grandpa to 5. Dearest father of Jo Ellen and late husband Matthew Mutnjakovic, Todd Pittl and wife Patty Kelly of Florida, David Pittl and Michelle Brem, Scott Pittl and Sylvia Garcia. WEB_quinlan_coletteIt is with great sadness that the family of Colette Quinlan announces her passing after a brief illness, on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the age of 85.

Colette lived a full and happy life.   A dedicated mother and grandmother — she was most proud of her family. She adored her four daughters and two grandsons and never failed to make them feel loved.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Norman, and her daughters Colleen (Chuck Bondy), Cathy, Betsy (Rick Hyra) and Janet (Dave Turner). She will also be missed by her two grandsons, Brady and Colby Turner.

She was born in Lower West Pubnico, NS and was proud of her Acadian heritage. She will be missed by her sisters Margaret (Gene), Stella, Joanna and brother Blaze (Anne) and extended d’Entremont and Quinlan families. Colette was predeceased by her sisters Vivian and Isabelle and her parents Arthenise and Oscar.

Colette loved to sew and garden and help with the Mission Club of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish.

Friends will be received at Families First Funeral Home 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Service will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Wednesday December 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Private burial to follow.

Sam was a dedicated Engineer with Ford Motor Company for over 30 years in both Canada and the United States.   He was a well-rounded athlete, a fan of all sports and took great pride in being involved in his children’s highly competitive sporting careers.

To know Sam was to love him. His contagious smile and his great sense of humour will be stamped in our hearts forever. Sam’s greatest pride and love in life was his family. He shared his joy for life and passion for adventure with his wife and children and always lived every day with love.

Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, in the presence of his loving family, on December 21, 2015 at the age of 76.
Robert is re-united with his beloved parents, Fred (1956) and Adele (2010), and brother George (2002). Dear brother to Dr. Donald Carom (Laura), Diane Eid (LeRoy), and Peter Carom, and brother in-law to Pam Carom. Bob will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Robert graduated from Assumption University with a Master of Arts in Psychology in 1963 and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. Dr. Carom was the Chief Psychologist at the former Windsor Western Hospital I.O.D.E. (presently HDGH, Tayfour Campus) before opening his own private practice at 960 Ouellette Avenue. Dr. Carom was the innovator and Director of his clinic, The Can/Am Neuro-Bio-Feedback Training and Research Center, which was instrumental in assisting with patient care and treatment. He will be missed by the many patients that he had the privilege and opportunity to serve. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Windsor Regional Hospital, Chartwell Royal Marquis, and Brouilliette Manor for their loving care, kindness and compassion shown to Robert and his family. At Bob’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family burial has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Robert’s life will take place at a later date. Survived by her six children: Tom (Edith Simpson) of Ottawa, Gerry of Windsor, Mary Anne (the late John Serdowich) of Windsor, Teresa (Rex Meade) of Dundas, Susan (the late Ted Moores) of Ottawa, and Bob (Roxanne). Mom was a proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also survived by special cousins Sybil Belanger and Sr. Mary Charbonneau snjm of Windsor, Sondra Pesta of Poway California and 5 nieces and 1 nephew. She was the daughter of the late Alphy Charbonneau and Anna Gignac. She was predeceased by her three brothers: Leonard Charbonneau (Evelyn Johnson), Fr. Paul Charbonneau and Fr. Bob Charbonneau. With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, who did not live to be 100, as that was her favourite saying. Born April 8, 1932 in Slavonia, Hrvatska and entered into Eternal Life on December 22, 2015 at the age of 83. Re-united with her beloved husband Franjo (2003). Loving Mother to Mary (Mira) Azar (Charles), son Frank Vranic Jr., Diane Boin (Lucio 1994). Devoted Baka to Alison, Natasha, Nicko, Giordan, and Marcus. Dear sister to the late Slavica Lekic (2005) and surviving husband Anton, Miroslav Katic and wife Ljubica. Sadly missed by Nieces, Nephews, Kumovi, friends and neighbours. Danica was retired from the G.M. Trim Plant, and was a faithful devoted parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. Danica had many talents, she touched many hearts with her cooking, baking, and thoughtfulness. Agatha went to be with Our Lord Jesus December 22, 2015 after a holy death. Predeceased by parents Francois & Marie Gauthier (1993), and sister Agnes (1999), and twin brothers Gregoire & Pierre (1951). Surviving sister Cecile and friend Constance were dedicated in her illness and her care, and were privileged to be at her bedside in prayer at her last agony. Agatha lived her life in selfless service to others as she demonstrated her strong and persevering faith in the triune God. Rosary prayers Wednesday evening 7 pm and Requiem Mass Thursday morning 6:30 am followed by burial service at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Beloved son of the late Frank (1938) and Charlotte (1947) (Vigneux). Dear brother of the late Ernest (Ella) Lamotte, the late Rita (late Charles) Impens, Marion (late Joe) Howe, the late Rosie (late Ralph) Ciliska, the late Theresa (Joe) Bonyai, the late Florence (late Ferd) Impens, the late Henry Lamotte (Doreen and Jacob Dech), Ted (Annette) Lamotte, Kay (Walter) Balsam, Joe (Nola) Lamotte. Treasured uncle to Linda (Louie) Marentette, Cathy (Larry) Sumner, James (Diane) Impens, John (Judy) Impens, Bob (Robin) Impens, Patrick (Judy) Impens, Perry (Marlene) Impens, Sgt. Charles (Sandra) Impens. He was admired and respected by his many nieces and nephews. Uncle Morn lived with his sister Rita and Charles Impens from the time they moved to Albuna, then to Robson Rd, followed by Erie Glen Manor and lately at the Sun Parlor Home. As a young man, he worked for Bradley Farms in Albuna and then retired as a custodian for the Essex County Board of Education. He was an avid sports fan and pool player at Krepp’s. He enjoyed travelling and fishing and putted around with lots of family and friends. Uncle Morn was a generous, kind and gentle soul who lived a full life. Maurice was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus St. Michael’s Parish Council #4501.
