Peacefully with his family by his side at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health in Petrolia on Monday, September 1, 2014. JIM WHITLAW, was in his 62nd year. Jim is the loving husband to Jo-Anne (nee Willis), father to Jeremy and Susie Whitlaw, Kerri-Jo and Billy Tonnies, Krystie Whitlaw, and Kailey Whitlaw, and Papa to Joshua and Alexa Whitlaw, and Samuel, Jackson, Grace, and Rose Tonnies . He will also be sadly missed by his mother Madeline of Dundas, his brother John and Judy Whitlaw, and his sister Lynn and Ray Vary. He was loved by his aunt Norma Cobb and by his cousin, who he saw as a brother, Dave and Donna Cobb. He’s also survived by his brothers-in-law Paul Cruickshanks, Jamie, Mark, and Stephen Willis, and sisters-in-law Brenda Willis-Duke and Louise Willis-Ayres, and all his nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his father Jim Whitlaw (2010). Jim had just recently retired from Shell after 39 years of service. Jim was an avid sports fan who enjoyed coaching his kids in hockey and was an avid fan of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Visitors will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia, where a service of remembrance will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery.
