Ken Whiteley, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, December 11, 2014.  He was 71.

Born in Lindsay, Ontario on December 26, 1942 to the late Reginald and Marjorie (nee Stallibrass) Whiteley.  Ken worked as an accident appraiser for the insurance industry and will be remembered by many classic car owners for the reports he compiled for them.

Ken volunteered his time with the Boy Scouts of Canada for many years and his favourite hobby produced many stained glass pieces of art for family and friends.

He was loved and will be missed by his wife Joan (nee Edwards) Whiteley of Hanover, his very special son Blair Whiteley (Erin Fukushima) of North Vancouver, B.C., his beautiful granddaughters Emiko and Maya.

Also remembered by his brothers-in-law Randy (Susan) Edwards of Owen Sound and Darryl Edwards of Woodford.  His wonderful friends Joe and Phyllis Lane of Elmwood and Wayne Fountain of Lindsay will miss him.

To honour Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Spring inurnment and a time of remembrance will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford.  Arrangements entrusted to the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
