Dorie WhatmoughWHATMOUGH, With her Lord and Saviour, where “None will be a stranger, though never seen before.”  Mrs. Phyllis Doris Ruth “Dorie” (nee McCammon), of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in her 92nd year.  Devoted and loving wife for 58 years to the late Robert Geoffrey Whatmough (2004).  Cherished mother of Alan of Ottawa, Dr. Christine Lortie (Robert) of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Neil (Mary) of St. Thomas, and Graham (Ruth) of London.  Loving grandmother to Emeth Whatmough, Samuel Lortie (Marlene), Evangeline Bissonnette (Stefan), Anna Gutman (Mark), Nathaniel Lortie (Marjorie), Emile Lortie, Lydia Fournier (Mathieu), Albert (Desiree), Stanley, and Graham Whatmough.  Great grandma to Tristan Lortie, Eloise, William, and Lydia Bissonnette, Benjamin and Leah Gutman, Frederique and Jacob Lortie, and Kent, Kody, and Kyle Whatmough.  Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.  Dorie was predeceased by 5 brothers and 4 sisters.  Born in Kenora, ON, December 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rachel (nee Gervin) McCammon.  Dorie was a Registered Nurse, having been a graduate of the Hamilton General Hospital.  She was in happy fellowship with those who gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, 20 Trafalgar St., St. Thomas.  Relatives and friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Friday, Nov. 15th  from 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16th at 10:30 a.m.  Interment in Fingal Cemetery.
