WHALINGwebLouis Whaling, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, October 25, 2013, in his 85th year.

Born in Stratford, to the late Alvin and Margaret (Devlin) Whaling on December 28, 1928.  Louis was the proud owner and operator of Louis Whaling Real Estate and Whaling Contracting for 51 years.

Survived by wife Verna (nee Kerr), children Raymond (Debbie) of London, Ron (Carol) of Chatham, Donna (Don) Kroetsch of Hanover, Dennis (Linda) of Exeter, Judy Whaling of Hanover, Kevon (Sharon) of Walkerton, Linda (Tim) Dunbar of Hanover, Paul of London and Bryan (Vernice) of Hanover; special granddaughter Krista (Kevin) Meyer of Normanby; 19 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.  Predeceased by his son Dale Whaling, brothers Bill, Felix and Jack Whaling and sister Doris Lisowyk.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 am, at Grace United Church. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
