Passed away peacefully at the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital with her family at her side.  Predeceased by her husband, Wilson; sisters, Sarah, Katie, Annie, Matilda; brother, Alex.  Fondly remembered by siblings, Marion and Archie and many nieces and nephews.  Loving mother of Roy (Carolyn), John (the late Val Dieno), Russell (Evelyn MacMaster), Ron (Audrey MacGillivray), Lois Box (Sheldon) and Ken (Kim MacTavish).  Cherished grandmother of Kim (Matt), Janie (Keith), Bradley, Steven (Angie), Kelly (J.P.), Braden (Kathryn), and Alanna.  Dear great grandmother of Anna, Sarah, Jesse, Noah, Olivia, Lucas, and Myanna.  The family would like to express its gratitude to the hospital’s caring staff for their special attention; the Heritage Lodge in Vankleek Hill, Jean’s home for the past ten years where she leaves behind many friends and fond memories.  Also, many thanks to her long-time acquaintances from Smiths Falls for keeping in touch over the years – lasting friendships that were made when Jean lived there and taught at the Rideau Regional Centre for many years.  The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.  If so desired, donations in her memory may be made to the C.N.I.B.  P.O Box 32002 Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 5R2 or the Cassburn Women’s Institute Bursary Fund, c/o Joan McPhee, 3295 Hwy#34, Vankleek Hill, ON., K0B 1R0.  Messages of condolence may be left at
