WEILER, Hugh Edward of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Ontario, Sunday, August 24th, 2014 with his family by his side. His loving wife Lillian Weiler predeceased him. He was in his 95th year and is survived by daughters Wanda McISAAC (Dr. Gary) of Oakville, Gail WEILER (David TYRRELL) of Toronto, Robin KORPELA (Jack) of Toronto, son Dr. Peter (Lucia) WEILER of Toronto, grandchildren Dr. Sarah ( Dr. Robert Ohle), Michael, Matthew, Mark, Liara, Madina and Austin. Also survived by brother Dr. Stanley, Ron Schill (Candy), sisters Doris (Ed Hudson) and Mary Cliff. Predeceased by siblings Roy, Audrey, Bert and Austin.

Hugh was born in Holland Centre, Ontario to Philomena and Alphonse Weiler. He grew up in Neustadt, Ontario. He retired as National Credit Manager for Nedco a Division of Westburne Electrical Supply, Mississauga.  In retirement he returned to Hanover, his roots, and wintered in Florida. Hugh’s active faith was always a way of life and he was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Following his strong business background he read the newspaper daily keeping his mind sharp, together with Sudoku. He was a huge sports fan especially the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He thoroughly enjoyed family, friends and food, making the most of everyday. His competitive nature served him well in discussions and playing cards. He was a very proud father and grandfather and they provided him with endless joy.

Grandpa, Dad and Hugh will be missed by all.

Visitation will be at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, August 28th 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.;Friday at 9:30 -10:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church, Hanover
