With deeply saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Wayne Watters of Sarnia, at the age of 68, on Thursday, November 13, 2014.  Loving husband and best friend of Lola (Wallace) Watters of 47 years.  Treasured father of Julie (Paul) Melaschenko and Michael Watters.  Cherished grandfather of Jack, Sophia and Lydia who were all the love of Jerry’s life and his B.F.F.’s.  Dear brother of Bob (the late Betty), Bill (the late Karetta), John (Sylvia) Watters, Marie (the late Don Mitchell), Ruth and Betty.  Predeceased by his parents Lyle and Muriel Watters, and survived by his mother-in-law Glennie (the late Reg) Wallace.  Loved by sisters and brothers-in-law Barb (Dale) Barraclough, Bonnie (Ken) Allen, Maybeth Wallace and Shayne (Kathy) Wallace.  Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.  Jerry worked for 38 years at Polymer/Polysar/Bayer/Lanxess. He coached girls fastball for over 15 years and was still actively bowling with the Sears League after 36 years. Upon retiring Jerry found a passion for gardening and was proud of his 45 Lilac bushes and Mandevilla plants, for which he received recognition from Community in Blooms for his efforts.  Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a private family service.  Cremation to follow.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Salvation Army or the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
