Waterbury JimPeacefully at his home on Wednesday May 8th, 2013 in his 87th year.  Jim grew up in Sunderland, Ontario, where he was said to be the best pool player in town.  It was there that he met his future wife, Isobel Wallace.  After 19 years of plowing snow with the Department of Highways, he opened a variety store in Cobourg in 1963.  This evolved into a music store, Jim’s Music.  Music was Jim’s passion.  He could play any instrument he touched.  He was the fiddle player in his group, The Harbour Lights, in which Isobel played piano.  Later Jim was the fiddle player in The Back Forty.  He also played the organ at the Cobourg Legion.  Jim was the beloved father of Mark (Jill) and Peter (Tammy).  Loving grandfather of Alyssa.  Fondly remembered by Tammy’s children Amy, Samantha and Kimberley.  Jim is also lovingly remembered by his niece and nephew, Sandra and Eddie.  At Jim’s request there will be no visitation or service.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.  If desired donations may be made to the Northumberland Humane Society.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
