Washbrook, Dale Edgar

A resident of Windsor and formerly of Oldcastle. Dale Washbrook passed away peacefully at the Windsor Regional Hospital- Metropolitan Campus on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 after a lengthy illness at the age of 62. He was born in Windsor and was the son of the late Carl (Ky) Washbrook (1969) and Dorothy Washbrook (1995). Dear dad to Melissa Washbrook-Anderson (Ken) of Windsor. Dear brother to Lois Reaume (nee Washbrook) of Essex. Brother-in-law to Joanne Washbrook of Essex. Dale will also be dearly missed by nieces: Jennifer Kalapos (Doug) of Essex, Dana Reaume (Dave Jurkovic) of Cloverdale B.C., Kristy Dalton (Rick) of Essex. Dale was thrilled and proud to be known as “Uncle Uncle” to great niece Mackenzie Kalapos.  Predeceased by his brother David C. Washbrook (2005). Dale was a retired employee of Valiant Tool & Die in Windsor. Dale’s loving and giving spirit touched the hearts of many friends, co-workers, families and golf buddies. He will be truly missed.  Family and friends will be received at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. E. Essex. (519) 776-4233  on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Cemetery. Cremation has already taken place.  Memorial donations to honour Dale’s life can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Melanoma Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
