Suddenly, but surrounded by his family at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, WILFRED WARD, of Oil Springs, passed away at the age of 86 years on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Survived by his sister Mary McLean of Oil Springs, and his brother Allan and his wife Joan Ward of Forest. He was “Uncle Bill” to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Pansy Ward and his brother Jim and Donna Ward.  Wilfred served his country with the Canadian Air Force. Wilf was an avid gardener and he always enjoyed sharing his produce with friends and family. His nieces and nephews will miss all the candy he loved to share with them. Friends and family will be received on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon until 12:45 pm at the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Oil Springs Cemetery. Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a memorial service at 6:45 p.m. on Friday evening. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made by cheque to the C.E.E.
