WALTHERS, Dr. Robert (Bob)

Passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2012 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital with family by his side after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.  Survived by his beloved wife, Ann (Hepburn) Walthers and his loving daughters Susan (Vic) Neufeld or Lakeshore, Barb (Dave) Walthers Grant of Kingsville and Joanne Walthers of Windsor.  Cherished grandfather of Bobby, Victoria, Stephen, Mandy and Meghen.  Always loved and remembered by his brother Bill of Toronto and many nieces and 1 nephew.  Bob was a member of the Kingsville Curling Club for many years, where he thoroughly enjoyed curling and the game of golf, also a long time member of The Church of The Epiphany, Kingsville.   However, his greatest passion was dentistry, having spent 20 years as a dentist in Kingsville and as a Periodontist for 21 years in Windsor.  Bob not only took pride in his profession, he also spent his more recent years working as a Clinical Demonstrator at Detroit Mercy Dental School.  He will be fondly remembered by friends and many of his patients he had during the years of his dental practice.  The family would also like to thank Dr. J. Gall and Dr. R. Moncur, along with 2 South nursing staff at LDMH for their compassionate care during his illness.  Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.   Donations in memory of Dr. Walthers may be made to a charity of your choice.
