Walker, Kay - Copy (2)Kathleen “Kay” Grace (Schopf) Walker of Chesley, formerly of Elmwood and Sullivan Township, passed away suddenly at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in her 84th year.

Loving mother of Valerie (Alan) Long of R.R. #1 Desboro, Brenda (David) Hamel of Chesley. She will be forever cherished by her seven grandchildren, Michael, Cathi, Jason, Melissa, Natasha, Amy and Ashley as well as her eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. Dear sister of Ronald, Gordon (Linda) all of Brantford, Judy Beirnes of Hanover, Chloe (Bob) Gonder of Hepworth, Caroline Landherr of Owen Sound, Betty Schopf of Baden, Wilma (Ken) Schaak of Hanover, and Barbara (Terry) Mitchell of Owen Sound. Kay will also be missed be her in-laws Pauline Schopf of Waterloo, Cheryl Schopf of Brantford, John Smith of Chesley and Jean Walker of Williamsford. Kay was predeceased by her husband Percy, daughter Shirley and son-in-law James Craig, twin sister Helene (Jack) Sager, sister Bonnie (Allan) Cornish, brothers William (Vivian) Schopf, Louis Schopf, Rodney Schopf, and in-laws John Beirnes, Raymond Landherr and Marg Schopf and her parents Adolph and Viola Schopf.

Visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. where a funeral service celebrating Kay’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. Interment in Shiloh Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Chesley Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
