Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Sunday, April 29, 2012, Donna Jeanette (Dodgson) Vowles passed away at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late James Vowles (1997).  Loving mother of Judy Miles, Barb and Steve Boyle, Deb Raes and Chris Slaughter, Cindy and Paul Bell.  Predeceased by her son-in-law Bill Willis, her brother Cecil Dodgson and his wife Adeline and her sister Marie and her husband Leroy Thiel.  Cherished grandmother of several grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  Survived by Aunt Mae Dempsey and in-laws William and Kay Holmes, Norman and Dorothy Irwin, Keith and Sue Vowles and Margaret Vowles.  Will be missed by her good friends Sharon Burgess, Karen McAlpine and Lynn Davidson.  Donna worked for over 25 years at the front desk of the Sarnia Pharmacy.  The family wishes to thank the New Horizons Church Family for their continued support and love and also the Doctors and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for the care and compassion provided during this difficult time.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 1576 London Line, Sarnia.  A funeral service will be held to celebrate Donnas life on Wednesday May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, cremation will follow.
