Verbeek, Carl of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 12th, 2013, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Eleanor Verbeek. Dear father of Dick and his wife Betty Verbeek of Stevensville. Dear step-father of Norm Clarke (friend Sheila), Douglas Clarke, Arnold Clarke (Cathy), Larry Clarke (Patty), Charlie Clarke (Linda), Helen Walker and the late Margaret Parish. Sadly missed by 3 grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Gerrit Verbeek, Jenneke Vogelzang (late Gerard) and Riek (late Johan), all of Holland. Predeceased by 2 sisters Wil Verbeek (1998), Daatje Ouburg (Wim) 2006 and a brother Pieter Verbeek (Jenny) 1998. Carl was born in Holland on January 15th, 1922, the son of the late Pieter and Diederika Verbeek. He was a retired carpenter. Carl was a member f Branch 410 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Stanley.

A private family service will be held. Cremation in Mount Pleasant Crematorium, London. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas in charge of arrangements.
