Vaughan, David of Union, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 67th year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of 38 years of Marie “France” Rosa (Ouellet) Vaughan and loved father of Richard Vaughan (Tricia), Crystal MacLeod (Kevin) and Tammy Parachoniak (Shawn) all of St. Thomas. Much loved grandfather of Adrianne, Gunner, Brennan, Brayden, Cyrus and Damien. Dear brother of Leroy Vaughan (Gisele) of Windsor. Sadly missed by a number of brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Dave was born in Sheffield, England on June 27th, 1946, the son of the late Cecil and Gladys (Lee) Vaughan. He was retired from Ford Motor Company of Talbotville and was a member of the C.A.W. Dave was an active volunteer and never said no. He was a former Lions Club member, bowled, golfed, played hockey a number of years and was on the executive of the original Old Timers League and was also a musician and played guitar. He was an avid sports fan.

A Public Memorial service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Visitation at the Church on Saturday from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Cremation, with private interment of ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Liver Foundation. Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. Thomas in charge of arrangements.
