Born on October 16, 1928 in Calgary, her life journey ended in Ottawa on October 26, 2012. She is survived by 5 children: Jim, Rod (Kathy), Marie (John), Michael (Jill) and Connie; by 16 grandchildren; and by her 8 great-grandchildren (with more on the way). Predeceased by her husband Major Guy Vanier and their son Guy Philip Vanier. Theresa’s life work was dedicated to her children and family. Her efforts have been amply rewarded. Following her husband’s career in the RCAF, her life journey took her from Toronto to Edmonton, Clinton, Trenton, Rockcliffe and Montreal. Retirement was shared between Seeley’s Bay, ON and Scottsdale, AZ, always making many friends along the way. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. at Richmond Rd. on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 7-9 pm and Monday, October 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church, 2080 Merivale Rd., Nepean on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 10 am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Haileybury, ON at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
