At the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington on Thursday, September 27, 2012 the Lord took unto Himself John VanderHout in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret VanderHout (nee Vander Velde) (2009). Loved father of Annetta Skelly (Darrell), Clarence (Joanne), Edward (Donna), Maurice (Leslie), and Martin (Barbara). Cherished Opa of Jonathan (Jasmina) Skelly, Andrea (Grant) Jackman, Jenna (Peter) Verheij, Krista, Laura (Jeff) Donker, Michele (John) Galer, Bailey, Courtney, Keegan, Bryden, Wyatt, and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Siena, Stella, and Delaila. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tine VanderHout, Wim and Paulien VanderHout, Leen VanderHout, Maart and Coby VanderHout, Suus and Jaap Boers, and Bep van Dam, all of the Netherlands, and Mac and Frances VanderHout, Tony and Diny VanderHout, and Andy and Betty VanderHout, all in Canada and predeceased by Klaas VanderHout, Jan and Adri van Staalduinen. Loved brother-in-law of Bert and Rudy VanHolst, Ebby VanDyk, Gerry and Tieteke DeGraaf, Hilda Vander Velde, John Bremer, and Audrey Vander Velde and predeceased by John Vander Velde, Jack and Jennifer Turkstra, Annie Vander Velde, Peter and Suzanna Vander Velde, Tina Bremer, and Fred VanderVelde and Peter Van Dyk. Uncle John will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Dad was a proud member of the Royal Netherlands Mariniers having served in Indonesia. Friends may visit with the family at BURLINGTON CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 3422 New St., Burlington on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:30 a.m., Pastor Joel Bootsma officiating. Interment Service will be held prior to the Memorial Service at Woodland Cemetery at 10:15 a.m. If so desired, donations to Redeemer University College or JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
