A reunion 30 years in the making. Tolerant and loving mother of Gary & Marlene Van Hooren (Chatham), Richard & Angela Van Hooren, Randall Van Hooren (Sarnia), JoAnn & Ed Leblang, Denise & David Ethier, Darlene Curran & Rick Desjardins, and John & Caron Van Hooren. Fun and loving cheerleader to her 19 wonderful grandchildren, their spouses and her 10 amazing great grandchildren. Genie graduated as a registered nurse from Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1950 and devoted a 34 year career to caring for the sick and suffering. She possessed a great passion for life and embraced her ever-changing world. A devoted Mother, Grandmother and GG Ma, Genie was an accomplished artist and held great conviction for her beliefs. Genie will be deeply missed by her sisters Annette Dupuis and Yvonne Janisse.  Dear sister-in-law to Diane Van Hooren, Dorothy & Keith Plante, Eugene Janisse and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Greeting Genie in heaven are her parents Marie (1969) & Solomon (1975), her brother Rene (2001), sister Madeline (1994), brothers-in-law Jack Darcy (1996), James Dupuis (2012), Andre Van Hooren (2013) and daughter-in-law Denise Van Hooren (2009).
