Typert, Douglas William – peacefully, at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in his 79th year.  He shared the last 44 years with his beloved wife Helen. Together they owned and operated Northtown Cleaners for 28 years.  Loving father of Cheryl (Danny) Siteman, Arlene (Jeff) Cox, Janet Parkhurst (Allan) and Penny (Victor) Hudson.  He also shared a special bond with Pat Mooney and his niece Lisa, whom he loved like his own children. He is the proud grandfather of Danielle (Devin), Niki (Stephen), Adam (Shannon), Bill (Jenna), Jessie (Chris), Jeremy (Nicole), Melissa (Joe), Mandy (Chris), Joe (Allison), Jason, Jennifer (Chris), Greg, Graham, Brittany (Ben), Tyler and 22 great grandchildren.  Doug is survived by his twin brother Lockie (Sheila), his brothers Roy (Cheryl), Hubert (Eleanor) and Jim (Bridget) and his sisters, Mabel (Buckley), Bertha (Anselm) and Pat (Merle).  He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Doug is predeceased by his parents, Scott and Bernice Typert, by his brothers, Maxwell and Bud and by his sister Gladys. 

Family and Friends will gather for a Celebration of Life, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Moira Community Hall, 29 Carson Road, Roslin. 

Cremation entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
