TURNER, William A.G. (Bill)

With sadness, the family announces his passing at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton, on February 27, 2013, in his 97th year.  Predeceased by his dearly loved wife Laura (nee Speedie).  Loving father of David of Toronto and Janice (Karel) Laarakkers of Sunderland.  Greatly missed by his grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Laarakkers of Mount Albert and Amy (Evan) Crook of Sunderland.  Proud great-grandfather of Adley Laarakkers.  Predeceased by his sister, Jessie Morris. Remembered by his sister-in-law Marion Speedie of Beaverton. Prior to his retirement, he held the position of Chief Building Inspector at the Township of Brock and established his own business, Turner Plumbing & Heating, in Sunderland.  He had life-long interests in farming, carpentry, raising animals, and especially enjoyed training and racing standardbred horses. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Mangan Funeral Home, 332 Osborne St., Beaverton, from 1 PM to 3PM.  Interment at Stone Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and in memory of Bill, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.manganfuneralhome.com
