It is with sadness our family mourns the loss of yet another. Mary Susan Toye moved with grace and courage from this world May 27, 2014 just months after she lost her loving husband Bruce who she dearly missed.  In her final days Mary’s wish was to see her husband again.  Bruce and Mary leave behind their son Richard who’s grief is tempered by the knowledge these two are united in eternal peace together along with Dallas the cat. Born September 20, 1929 to her late parents Peter and Stella Kurosky, Mary led the way for her three younger brothers predeceased Mike, predeceased Rudy and Alex.  Mary took great pride in helping raise her brothers and grooming them all for life’s adventures.  This naturally led her into a career as a registered nurse belonging to the College of Nurses of Ontario. As an RN she quickly assumed the role to teach and train others as a natural leader.  Mary had lots of interests to keep her active mind busy including the ability to research and pick just the right stocks.  She was a voracious reader and took a very keen interest in politics.  Mary spent many hours in her garden and could tell you any herb to fix all ailments.  Mary was a ground breaker and helped clear the path for women today by not following traditional roles in her youth.  Her legacy will live on in the souls of others with a grin of how she creatively tackled life using all her intellectual gifts.
