It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jessie Stewart Toland announce her passing on October 23, 2013 surrounded by the love and support of her family at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Ontario.
Born in Scotland on April 29, 1933 the eldest daughter of James and Jessie McNab. Jessie emigrated to Canada in 1966 with her husband and three children. Sister of Alistair (predeceased), Marion (Peter) and Sarah (Ronnie).
After many happy years of retirement from Southwestern Regional Centre, Jessie chose to enjoy her final years of retirement in Blenheim. She derived a particular amount of pleasure from her time living at the Blenheim Legion Villa where her card playing abilities will be greatly missed. She loved her “Wee Hoose”.
Jessie was the proud and beloved mother of Trish (Tom) Molyneaux, Doug (Debbie) and Kevin (Jane). Beloved Aunt of Graeme (Betty) Wright. Her cherished grandchildren are Sara (Kris), Matt (Mona), Ryan (Cristina), Katy (Rich), Kerri-Lynn, Elizabeth and Emma. Nana is also lovingly remembered by her wee boys Colin, Jack and James.
At this time, Jessie’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Alan Morrison, the staff of the Chatham Kent Health Alliance and her Blenheim buddies.
Cremation has taken place. A private celebration of Jessie’s life will take place at a later date. Jessie will be accompanied by her family to be with her mom and brother at their final resting place in Scotland. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider Community Living Chatham Kent or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
