It is with great sadness we announce the loss of an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  After a long illness that took over his body but never his mind, spirit or sense of humour, Lloyd Tithecott died peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Twin Lakes Terrace on Thursday August 2, 2012, at the age of 81 years.   Lloyd is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Joyce, his proud children, Gary & Elizabeth Tithecott (Chatham), Ann & Robert Gray (Sarnia), Donna & Larry Jones (Forest), and Sue & Dave Symington (Whitby). He was a loving Grandfather to Victoria & Jeff Wraight, Sarah Gray, Laura Gray, Brad Jones, Dan Jones, Kevin Jones, Christine Tithecott, Michael Tithecott, Jennifer Symington and Scott Symington.  He was extremely proud to be a Great Grandfather to Andrew and Katrina Wraight.  Lloyd is also survived by his brother Howard, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Bessie, his brother, Gerald, and his sister, Noreen.  Lloyd was a very hard working man, first at Dow Chemical and then, with his equally hard working wife at his side, as the owner of Tithecott Apartments for over 50 years.  Friends and Family will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Friday August 10th from 5:00 to 8:00pm.  A private burial service will be held on August 11th, 2012.  To allow friends and family from out of town to attend, a service to celebrate Lloyd’s life will take place at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, August 25th at 11:00am.  There will be a visitation an hour before the Service. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Arthritis Society –  or the Hospice – (cheques only at the funeral home). Memories and condolences may be sent online at
