91 years, passed away peacefully on 17 August, 2014 at the Leamington Mennonite Home. Beloved husband of the late Elvira (Langeman) (2002). Predeceased by his parents Peter and Elisabeth (Fast) Tiessen. Jacob is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by four brothers, Jacob Tiessen, Peter Tiessen, Frank Tiessen and Nicholas Tiessen; six sisters, Anna Loewen, Margaret Gossen, Elisabeth Janzen, Agatha Barkovsky, Mary Harder and Katherine Tiessen;  five nephews, Arthur Gossen, David Tiessen, Vern Barkovsky,  Peter Janzen,  Hardy Tiessen and by three nieces, Cathy Barkovsky Aldora Harder and Margaret Tiessen. In particular special friends of Martin, Denise and Luke Rahn, Saraja and Shibu Samuel and Shoba Pompati.   Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street Leamington on Tuesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Jacob’s life, from the Leamington United Mennonite Church, 78 Oak Street East Leamington on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 11am. Dr. Frank Hawkins officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to MCC “Meat Canners”.
