It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear husband & father. A dedicated employee of the Canadian National Railways (CN) for 37 years. John came to Belleville, along the way from several railway supply locations, including initially from Cochrane Ontario, ending at the Belleville CN roadway materials supply yards in 1970. John had a great love of the outdoors and was a very enthusiastic vegetable gardener. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 69 years, Catherine (née Ouellette). Loving father of Jacques (Donna Thompson), André (Marilyn Nugent), Jean Pierre (Monique Boucher), Carole (Larry Martin), Daniel (Margaret Spinney), Denis (Sharon Stewart), Sylvie (Tom Nyitrai), and Brian. Loving grandparent of Claire, Julie, Shelley, Dustin, Valerie, Ryan, Leah, Madeline and Marc. Loving great-grandparent of Haylie, Jaymie, Rowan and Lilliana.
