May 14, 1913 – May 6, 2013

Just eight days before her 100th birthday Marcella Tesolin peacefully entered into eternal life. She leaves cherished memories with her son Sergio Tesolin (Barbara), daughters Ada Verolin (Peter) and Jean Tesolin. Nonna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Deanna Owen (Ken), Jamie Tesolin, Marisa Morassutti (André), David Verolin, Lara Alexander (Mike) and Andrea Tesolin. Dearest great-grandmother of Morgan Seale (Chris), Natalie and Kendall Owen, Olivia and Elyse Morassutti, Robyn and Riley Alexander and Elisabeth Tesolin. In 2011 Marcella was ultimately blessed with a family of 5 generations upon the birth of her first great-great granddaughter Madeleine Seale and Callysta Seale in 2013. Being the last living member of her family Marcella is pre-deceased by brothers Ernest, Graziano, Fiorello and Gino Sist, her sister Carmella Calderan as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy and Argentina. In 1930 Marcella left her native birthplace Pordenone, Italy as the young bride of Giacomo Tesolin (1986). In their early years they sponsored many relatives who immigrated from their homeland to Windsor, Ontario. Although she was a sickly child, Marcella exhibited strength and determination throughout her lifetime. We especially respect her tremendous courage in coping with macular degeneration along with many other life challenges. May she now rest in the peace and tranquility we truly believe she deserved. We will always be grateful to mom’s friend Ruth Muxworthy and the dedicated nurses, caregivers and staff from the Leamington Mennonite Nursing Home who cared for our mother with compassion, dignity and respect. At our mother’s request, a private Funeral Mass was celebrated at Corpus Christi Church followed by Christian burial at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

“Mamma, solo per te la mia canzone vola….. Quanto te voglio bene, queste parole d’amore”
