The friends of Ursula (McIntyre) Taylor will be saddened to learn of her passing at the Queensway Carleton Hospital after a short stay on February 26, 2019, at the age of 84. Her boys were at her side. Ursula was born and grew up in Glace Bay, to Peter and Anne (Connington) McIntyre. After high school, she joined the Military and was stationed at Comox, B.C. After her marriage, they lived in various bases including Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and PEI. She returned to Glace Bay for a short time to be with her mother. After her mother’s passing in 1982, she moved to Ottawa. There, she worked at the Parliament Building as a Commissionaire until her retirement. Ursula was a kind and patient lady, loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed her sports and was a big fan of the Ottawa Senators and her beloved Blue Jays. Her granddaughter described her as the funniest and most competitive person she knew, especially at Scrabble. She is survived by her sons, Ronald, PEI, Kenneth (Carolyn), Kanata, Peter (Nancy) Trenton, David (Alaine), BC, Cary of Sydney, NS and sister, Anne (Vince) MacDonald, Halifax. Ursula had 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Manning (Rita), Bernard (Alice), Connie, Allister, Charles (Irma) and her sister, Joan (Peter). Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will take place in the Spring in Ottawa.
