TAYLOR obituary picturePeacefully with his family by his side at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Thursday, March 21, 2013, Ronald Robert “Bob” Taylor passed away at the age of 80, after an 18 year courageous battle with prostate cancer.  Beloved husband of Marianne (nee Mullen). Loving father of Julie (Albert) Pilotte, Allen (Judy) Taylor, and Brad (Charlene) Taylor. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Joel, Eric, Justine, Patrick, Cody and Cathy. Dear brother-in-law of Gord Perry, Marg Taylor, Ken Crone, Dan (Peggy) Mullen, Mike (Gail) Mullen, Liz (Denis) Haering, and Terry (Anne) Mullen. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Gertrude Taylor, sister Bernice Perry, brother Lorne Taylor, grandson Bobby Taylor, and sister-in-law Anastasia Crone.  Bob loved spending time with his family and loved to watch his grandchildren’s activities, especially their sports and plays. He enjoyed his retirement days travelling to many different countries and living at Bluewater Country, where he made many friends. Bob will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.  A special thank you to Dr. O’Sullivan, Dr. Maddison and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for all your special care and compassion.  Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.  A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Smith Funeral Home, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
