David Erle Taylor of Chesley, passed away suddenly doing what he loved “being in the bush” on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in this 63rd year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Susan (Irving). Devoted father of Curtis (Susan McGeorge) of Toronto and Adam (Jamie) of Chesley. Dave will be forever cherished by his grandchildren, Logan, Jorja and Jaxson. He will be sadly missed by his sister Tracy (Jim) MacDougall of Chesley, the Irving and MacDougall family and many nieces, nephews and friends. Also mourning his absence is his four-legged companion Kruzer. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Don and Norma (Cousland) Taylor.
Dave was passionate about his one and only team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. His wishes were to see his team hoist the Stanley Cup. One of his many loves was heading 8 hours north on a family fishing trip. He couldn’t wait for the time every Spring to take his family and friends to some of the world’s best brook trout fishing. Lastly, he restored a ’67 Rambler Rebel SST. In his first car show ever, he won first place for viewer’s choice.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Tuesday from 6 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at St. John’s United Church, Chesley on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
