“Promoted to Glory”

Betty Till Taylor, on March 31st, 2014 at Elgin Manor, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late John Thomas Taylor, March 11, 2005. Dearly loved mother of John and his wife Betty of Union and Linda of St. Thomas. Loved to infinity by Craig Taylor (Lil Cheih) and Meghann Taylor (Ryan Dixon) all of Toronto. She was the last of her family, predeceased by one brother George Stephen Till and three sisters Nellie Pook, Margaret Barker, and Frances Grandmaison and by a daughter Virginia Ann. Dear sister-in-law of Jan Taylor of British Columbia. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Betty was born in St. Thomas on May 23rd, 1922 the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Wright) Till. She retired from the position of Secretary at Locke’s Public School in 1982. Betty was a member of Central United Church where she was the secretary of the Philathea Unit and also where she taught Sunday School for 35 years.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 5th from 12pm to 1pm followed by a Public Memorial Service at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas on Saturday April 5th at 1:00pm. We would like to extend a special thanks to the kind staff who helped make the Manor a welcoming and caring home for mum. In lieu of flowers, remembrances would be appreciated to Central United Church and Inn Out of the Cold. Condolences may be sent to ahughson@execulink.com

I had a mom who made me laugh, wiped my tears, hugged me tight, watched me succeed, saw me fail, cheered me on and kept me strong!
Mothers are a promise from God that you will have a friend forever!
