At the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2013 in his 62nd year. Sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Margot Rita Tarajos (Kienle). Son of Joseph Tarajos of Cobourg and the late Angeline Tarajos (Samarco). Brother of Linda Lake (Glenn) of Asphodel Heights. Dear uncle of Jeffrey Lake (Carol) of Peterborough, Jason Lake (Manon) of Pickering and their children Benjamin and Alexandria. Also sadly missed by his mother-in-law Olga Kienle-Hornsby (nee Reichle) and the late Alois Kienle, Margot’s uncle Manfred (Edeltraud) Reichle, cousins Heidi and Cindy Reichle, and extended family Hella Kernhof and family, Rita Luft and family, Baldwina Klaiber and family, all of Germany as well as the Hornsby family and Peso, his faithful dog and his many friends. Terry was a Class A auto mechanic and a member of the Peterborough Flying Club with more than 80 hours solo. Terry’s instructors included Frank Montgomery – Mosquito Squadron Leader 418 and Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame Member – Miriam Orr. He enjoyed to travel, especially to Niagara Falls, Cuba and to Halifax and nights in his Beachcomber hot tub with Margot. He loved fine dining, especially Oysters Rockafellar and lobster, carpentry and his daily phone calls with his father. Terry was handsome, kind, intelligent, romantic and had a distinct sense of humour which endeared him to many people. Terry was married to Margot on October 7, 1972 and was able to celebrate his 40th anniversary in grand style. To my husband Terry, at our wedding, they played “We’ve Only Just Begun”. I will love you with all my being forever, and without you, I am not whole. Love you! Love you too! Rest in peace, Terry. Terry’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Cross and the nurses at the Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care and compassion. Friends will be received at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg from 12:30 – 1 pm on Sunday, March 24th with a memorial service to follow at 1 pm. Those wishing may make donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation or Community Care – Northumberland. Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
