Tapsell (Ricketts), Elsie Alena Alice of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, June 29th, 2012, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Ricketts and the late George Tapsell. Dearly loved mother of Marion and her husband Jim Maynard, George and his wife Pat Tapsell, Betty and her husband Steve Walters, Jack and his wife Brenda Tapsell, late Dick Tapsell and his surviving wife Sandra, Judy and her partner Harvey Bayes and Eleanor Parkins. Dear step-mother of Daniel and his wife Shirley Ricketts, Paul and his wife Jean Ricketts and Sophie and her husband Robert Talbert. Predeceased by a brother Harman Clark Jr. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren , great, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grand daughter Sherry Quickfall. Elsie was born in St. Thomas on December 4th, 1919, the daughter of the late Harman and Ada (Brunning) Clark. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church and formerly of Centre St. Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Elsie’s life will be held at Plains Baptist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Plains Baptist Church.
