TANNER, Robert D., of London, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 30, 2017, in his 67th year.  Dear brother of the late Glenda A. Tanner (Feb. 17, 2017).  Robert is survived by many cousins.  Born in St. Thomas, ON, Mar. 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Glenn and Gladys (née Hollingshead) Tanner.  Robert formerly worked as a surveyor for Alberta Land Surveyors and Ontario Land Surveyors, taught legal land surveying at Fanshawe College, London, and was employed part-time at Wallace Home Hardware, London.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no public visitation or funeral service.  Robert’s cremated remains will be interred privately in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged.  Arrangements entrusted to the SIFTON FUNERAL HOME, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
