Mildred Servita Tamondong, 58, of Delta BC went to be with the Lord on November 4th, 2017 at 7:55am after a long fight with lung cancer. She passed away surrounded by her family at the Irene Thomas Hospice.

She was born in 1959 in the Philippines as the daughter of Guillermo and Loretta Servita. Mildred studied Communications at the Phillipine Women’s University. She moved to Vancouver, Canada with her family in 1995 where she worked as an Administration Assistant for various companies. Mildred was an avid traveler, a loving wife and mother, and a faithful, God-loving woman. She was an active member of the St. Monica parish and dedicated a lot of her spare time to serving God.

Mildred is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Tamondong, son Karlo (Rachel) Tamondong of Delta BC, daughter Eloisa (Dustin) Greenwald of Calgary AB, and grandson Nathanael Greenwald. Mildred also leaves behind her brother Edsel Servita and many lifelong friends and family.

Prayers will be recited on Tuesday, November 7th at 7:00pm, followed by a funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 8th at 11am, both at St. Monica’s Parish, 12011 Woodhead Rd, Richmond, BC, with Fr. Robert Wong officiating. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In leiu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to either the Irene Thomas Hospice in Ladner, BC or the Canadian Cancer Society.
