Lena StossSTOSS, Mrs. Magdalena “Lena” (nee Hehl), formerly of Shedden, passed away at the Elgin Manor, R.R.#1, St. Thomas on Sunday, December 8, 2013, in her 90th year.  Beloved wife of 59 years to the late Steve Stoss (2001).  Loved mother of Stefan Stoss of Salt Spring Island, BC, and Werner Stoss and his wife Myrna of Shedden.  Cherished grandmother of Craig Stoss of Waterloo, and Laura Hofer and her husband Michael of Fergus.  Also survived by sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hehl of Strathroy, as well as niece, Ingrid and nephews, Harry, Robert, Peter and their families.  Her brothers, Jacob and Christian Hehl predeceased her.  Born in Moragy, Hungary, May 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jakob and Susanne (nee Glockner) Hehl.  Lena and her husband came to Canada in 1956 and to Shedden in 1966.  She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas and formerly the Country Circle of the church.  Lena was a former member of the Fingal Quilters, and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, December 10th from 3:30-7:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Shedden Cemetery.  Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Caring Cupboard gratefully acknowledged.
