Picture or Video 001STEWART, Gerald Kenneth (Gerry)- Born November 28, 1939-formerly of Hoople Ave. Cornwall.  Mr. Gerald Stewart passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 73.  After a long and courageous battle with cancer (Lymphoma), Gerry entered safely into the arms of Jesus  with his family by his side.  Beloved husband and best friend of Jean Barkley of 48 years.  Cherished and loving father of Tina (Dave Gillard) of Harrisons Corners, On and Timothy Stewart.  Beloved Papa of Jonah and Jessica Gillard, Corina, Lynden, Kyla, Kyle, Autumn, and Faith Stewart.  Predeceased by his parents Archie and Hazel (Rice) Stewart.  Loving brother of Amy Fetzer of Florida, USA, Evelyn McLaren of St. Catharines, ON Alfred of Toronto, ON, Doreen (Ken Hellyer) of Cornwall Max and Dean of Long Sault, ON.  Predeceased by his brothers Dwight, Ernest, Glen and his sister Shirley.  Special brother-in-law of Clifford Prieur of Ingleside and Grace Stewart of Cornwall.  Gerry will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Gerry was a long time employee of TCF and BCL Cornwall for 24 years.  Gerry was also a former employee of Sensient Flavors, Cornwall for 7 years.  Special fishing buddy of the late Walley High.  Resting at McArthur Bros. & MacNeil  Funeral Home & Chapel 428 Second Street East Cornwall where visitation will be held on Sunday July 7, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  No visitation the morning of the funeral.  A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held on Monday July 8, 2013 at the Long Sault Pentecostal Church 9 Bethune Street Long Sault, ON at 11:00 am Pastor Stephen King and Pastor Lorna Casselman officiating.  Interment to follow in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery Long Sault.  Donations to Long Sault Pentecostal Church Building Fund or Diabetes Association would be gratefully appreciated by Gerry and his family.  Online messages of condolence may be left at http://www.mcarthurbrosfh.com/
