Cecil Grosvenor Charles Stamp

Passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2012, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, after a brief illness, in his 95th year. Cecil, beloved husband of Blanche (nee Cornfield) and the late Isabel (nee Hindle). Loving father of David and his wife Joanne of Sudbury, Mary Ellen and her husband (Rick Hall), Garry and his wife Colleen all of Creemore. Step-father of Beth Hunter of Desboro and Janette Shier of Kitchener-Waterloo. Dear grandfather of nine and step-grandfather of four. Great-grandfather of many. Predeceased by three sisters. Cecil served in the Canadian armed Forces during WW11 for a total of 29 years achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 40 years and a member of Lions Club for a number of years including being on the executive of both. He was a devoted husband , loving father, grandfather, brother and a great cook and gardener.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 7th, 2012, from 7-9 PM at Chatterson Funeral Home Collingwood, followed by a funeral service in the chapel on Thursday at 1 PM.

Interment at Creemore Union Cemetery.
