STABB, C. Charles A. “Charlie”, of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, July 8, 2013, in his 81st year.  He is survived by his dear friend Jean Gray of St. Thomas, his children; Gary Stabb (Margaret) of West Kelowna, BC, Mark Stabb (Caroline) of Uxbridge, ON, Gail Wutzke (Lou) of Lethbridge, AB, Tamara Stabb (Scott) of Edmonton, AB and their mother Jean (nee Piontek) of Lethbridge, AB, and by his brother Ronnie Stabb (Diane) of Châteauguay, QC. Born in St. Jean, QC, January 12, 1933, he was the son of the late George Albert and Elizabeth Stabb and brother of the late Ernest Stabb and the late Betty Rouse.  Also surviving are his grandchildren Daniella, Jenna, Sophie, Anna, Sean, Taylor, Lily, Meadow, and Brooklyn, as well as nieces and nephews across the country.  Charlie was a retired employee of GKN Sinter Metals, St. Thomas.  He was a long-time member of Lord Elgin Branch #41, Royal Canadian Legion, St. Thomas.  The funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, July 16th at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in South Park Cemetery.  Relatives and friends will be received by the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund will be gratefully accepted.
