14050 SPENCER Charlotte 'Lee'It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Charlene ‘Lee’ Thelma Spencer (previously Weber; neé Taylor) at age 84 in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 16, 2014.  She died peacefully at Riverview Manor, a long-term care residence in Peterborough, ON.Born on May 20, 1929 in Oshawa ON,  Lee enjoyed a 42-year marriage to Harold ‘Harry’ Edgar Weber who passed away in 1996.  Before retiring from the workforce, Lee worked her way through the ranks at CIBC, starting as a teller before reaching a level of senior administration at the bank.  Through her active involvement with her church in Elliot Lake, Lee found love once more when she met and married Charles Edward Spencer on Valentine’s Day, 1998.  Lee is survived by her loving husband, Charles, who resided with her and continues to do so at Riverview Manor.  She leaves behind her three children, Linda Ahern (James) in New Westminster BC, Robin Heise (Lorne) in Carnarvon ON, and Walter Weber in Toronto ON.  Also left to mourn her passing are her four grandchildren, Brad Ahern (Carla), Greg Ahern (Holly), Brent Heise and Laura Roberts (Matt).  She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Sky, Gwyn, Faye and Zoe.  As was Lee’s wish, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service has already been held in Peterborough.  Her ashes will be interred later in the year in Elliot Lake where she spent a good portion of her life.  If you wish to make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peterborough ON, you are welcome to do so in Lee’s memory.  Please feel free to express your condolences at:www.communityalternative.ca  (Spencer, Charlene)
