SPANO – Susan Dianne (nee Cote)(Marciniszyn) – With dignity and grace with her family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Susan Spano died peacefully on June 9, 2018, at the age of  68.  Beloved wife of Anthony ‘Tony” Spano.  Loving mother of Deanna (Jeff Pelkie), Pam and Mike (Corry Salts).  Cherished grandmother of her favourite granddaughter Kira and her favourite grandson Jarod Pelkie.  Dear sister of Maurice (Linda), Julie (Frank), Steve (Wendy), Dave (Brenda), Annette (Jim) and baby Dawn (Mike).  Survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Julia & Maurice Cote and her in-laws Robert and Agata Spano.

Sue was a selfless, nurturing, caring and understanding person. With the help of Mike (d.1983) and her adoring husband Tony, she raised 3 wonderful children and helped raise 2 beautiful grandchildren. Her passion was her family and she always put them first. She had an infectious smile and open ears. She was the one that her family called for in times of need because of the way she listened and gave her impartial advice. Many will remember Sue as the manager at Marcin Bowl where she was respected by both her employees and customers. Following her bowling alley days she was a stay at home mom and met and married Tony in 1991. She always said she was lucky to have fallen in love twice. Sue will be greatly missed by not only her family but all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 1-3 pm.  Celebration of Life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel immediately following visitation at 3:00 pm.
