Mary JSmith, Mary Janeane Smith of Chatham and formerly of Blenheim passed away on Sunday January 6, 2013.  Mary, who would have been 92 on February 7th this year was one of three girls born to her late parents Louisa (Burk) and William George Dumont Smith.  She was predeceased by both of her sisters Gladys Fink and Mabel Ashby.  Mary worked for a short time at Eatons, Canadian Tire and the Canning Factory but most of her life was spent taking care of family.  Mary lived her life with determination, fortitude and will.  In her pastime she enjoyed puzzles, opera music and local news.  She will be missed by her nieces Linda Schlecht (Peter) of Brighton, Sandra Ashby (Ross) of Brampton and by her great niece and nephews Meghan Ashby-Lee (Dan), Peter Schlecht (Rebecca) and David Schlecht (Christina).  A private graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery where Mary will be laid to rest with her parents.  Blenheim Community Funeral Home entrusted with Funeral Arrangements.  Friends wishing to remember Mary with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Alzheimers Society.  Online condolences and memorial donations may be left for the family at www.blenheimcommunityfuneralhome.com
