SMALLDON WHITE, Mrs. Blanche (nee Laur), of the Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, passed away at her residence on Friday, November 30, 2012, in her 89th year.  Wife of the late Gordon Cook, the late C. H. “Bud” Smalldon, and the late Vaughn White.  Dearly loved mother of Connie Marshall (Fred) of St. Thomas, and Samuel Smalldon (Shauna) of Calgary. Dearly loved step-mother of Barry White (Pat), Vonda Den Boer (John), all of Corunna, Keith White (Sherry) of Brigden, and the late Betty June Edwards.  Cherished grandmother of Robert (Tammy), Sharlaine (Jared), Ben (Kathleen), Rachelle, Jocelyn (T.J.), Johnathan and Laryssa.  Cherished step-grandmother of Crystal (Cam), Lisa (Joel), Keith, Chris (Amanda), Steven, Lindsay, Candace, Michael (Katelyn), and Tiffany (Cory). Dear sister of Irene Robinson and George Laur, both of St. Thomas.  Also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Blanche was predeceased by five sisters and five brothers.  Born in South Dorchester Twp., ON, November 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Ethel (nee Betterley) Laur.  Blanche was a life member of The Restoration. There will be no public visitation.  Interment has been made in Elmdale Memorial Park.  A celebration of her life and gathering will be held at a later date.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).  A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Valleyview Home for the compassionate care provided to Blanche during the past 5 years.
