Simpson-Peacefully on Thursday April 3, 2014. Charles Howard “Bob” Simpson, age 77 yrs of Corunna. Beloved husband of 57 years to Leona (Robertson) Dear father of Andrew Simpson and his wife Jennifer of Lindsay, Renee Morden and her husband Rick of Corunna, Karen Harrison and her husband Tom of Peachtree City, Georgia and Cheryl Simpson of Windsor. Loving grandfather of Ashley Morden Korogonas (Soto), Natalie Martin (Steve), Kristy Morden (Rupert), Trisha Simpson (Andrew), Megan Harrison, Kelly Harrison, Valerie Harrison, and great-grandfather of Leann, Madilyne and Zakary Martin and Zoti Korogonas. He is also survived by; his brother, Jerry (Elaine) Simpson of St. Thomas; his sister-in-law, Betty Simpson of Leamington and by his brother-in-law, Francis Bourdeau of Windsor. He was predeceased by; his parents, Stafford and Alice Simpson, his brother James Simpson and by his sister, Beverley Bourdeau. Bob will be fondly remembered for his active involvement within his community having been a member of the Moore Masonic Lodge # 294, a member of Lambton Shrine Club, past member of the Coast Guard Auxillary, honourary member of the St. Clair Township Fire Department, past member of Moore Township Parks Board , volunteer with Sarnia/Lambton Crime Stoppers and involved in minor baseball to name a few. He worked at Ethyl Corporation from 1966-1994 and was a long time member of Corunna United Church. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Sunday April 6, 2014 from 1-4 p.m. where the Moore Masonic Lodge will conduct a service at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday April 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the Corunna United Church with Rev Blair Corcoran and Rev. George Bell officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers friends who wish may express sympathy through memorial donations to Shriners Hospital, Corunna United Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
