SILCOX, Alfred Lawrence, of St. Thomas passed away peacefully on November 8, 2012 at the age of 88.  Predeceased by his loving wife, Mae Ida Silcox (nee Marchand) (1997).  Lawrence is survived by children Terry (Susan) Silcox of St. Thomas, Michael Silcox of St. Thomas, Allan (Denise) Silcox of Aylmer, Diane (John) Cotton of London; grandchildren Jennifer Silcox, Jamie (Jason) Phillips, Timothy Silcox (Karly Young); three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and several relatives in the United States.  Lawrence had worked in the family business, Silcox Lumber & Building Supplies in Shedden and at Hartz Mountain Pet Supplies in St. Thomas during his lifetime.  In WWII, he served in active duty with the Royal Canadian Air Force.  Lawrence was a Life Member and Past Master of Warren Lodge #120 AF & AM Fingal, and had been Past Patron of Golden Acres Chapter #305, Order of the Eastern Star.  Visitation will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00pm.  A Masonic Service under auspices A.F. & A.M. Warren Lodge #120 Fingal will be held in the funeral home at 6:00pm on Friday, with an Eastern Star Service immediately following. The memorial service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1:30pm.  Interment in Shedden Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the Salvation Army of St. Thomas or the Masonic Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.  Personal condolences to the family can be made at
