SIKORA, Mrs. Elizabeth A. “Betty” (nee Caldwell), of the Bobier Villa, Dutton, formerly of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 3, 2015, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley P. Sikora (1998). Dearly loved mother of Susan Gales, Nancy Lindsay (Kevin), all of St. Thomas, Carol Stankevich of Petrolia, and Richard Sikora (Shelley) of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Muriel Young (Lyle) of St. Thomas. Also survived by ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Sandy, two sisters, Freda Saunders and Verna Martin, and two brothers, William and Earle Caldwell. Born in St. Thomas, ON, October 25, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Egbert George and Elizabeth (nee McGenerty) Caldwell. Betty was a member of Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas. Relatives and friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Tuesday, January 6th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. (Prayers at 4:45 p.m.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Wednesday, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels’ Cemetery.
