SHELTON, Joan Theresa (née Mongraw) – peacefully surrounded by her family at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, January 4, 2013,  in her 76th year. Beloved wife of 54 years to Robert Shelton. Loving mother of Tracey (Scott Horsburgh) and Paul (Shiri). Cherished Nana of Colette, Tyler, and a grandbaby on the way. Loving sister of Randy Mongraw (Amelia) and Maureen Babbs (Murray). Proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley Moncrief and Steve Duffie. Predeceased by her father Reginald, her mother Muriel Ward, and her sister Ann Duffie. Joan was a long-time employee of the Royal Bank of Canada, known as “the sucker lady” by the bank’s youngest customers at the Park and Brioux branch because she always kept a bag of suckers to give to children. At Joan’s request, a private family service will be held.
